What you’ll be able to do:
In this key position, you will help ensure the highest level of safety in our manufacturing processes as you perform safety inspections using such tools as OHSIM, MSS, and SPRB. You will drive safety improvements by conducting critical safety talks as well as by identifying and immediately correcting safety hazards and unsafe practices. You will:
 
 
  • Perform safety inspections using corporate tools (OHSIM, MSS, SPRB) and conduct safety talks
  • Identify and insure that safety hazards and unsafe practices are promptly corrected
  • Complete 100% of mandated FAS08 PMs at the prescribed frequency
  • Drive Continuous Improvement through a focused maintenance program designed to reduce scrap and ensure reliability of error-proofing devices
  • Maintain equipment, automation, and tooling in a state of compliance with specifications, fit, form, and contamination standards
  • Lead skilled trades/maintenance personnel to evaluate controls and mechanical requirements for maintaining and improving production yields, throughput, and up time
  • Analyze equipment performance and work to improve efficiencies; actively participate in Constraint Review Process
  • Use On Track data (FIS, Maximo, etc.) to prioritize efforts and achieve 100% flow
  • Meet FTT, inventory, cost, scrap, supply, and tooling expense targets
  • Minimize overtime by improving JPH, controlling absenteeism, using predictive maintenance programs; preparing for and fully utilizing down time; optimizing use of skilled labor throughout the day
  • Maintain a versatility matrix that ensures technical coverage at all times
  • Assist and teach maintenance troubleshooting techniques to improve mean time between failure and mean time to repair
  • Participate in Time & Data Management meetings as prescribed by Ford Production System (FPS)
  • Supervise preventive maintenance schedules, preventive and predictive inspections, and repairs to minimize down time
  • Coordinate and schedule manpower and materials to meet maintenance requirements to minimize down time; coordinate maintenance activities with other plant operations
  • Use Maximo for Maintenance (MFM) to detail all maintenance activities (crisis and planned); provide quality assurance of MFM inputs to enable in-depth data analysis
  • Control and monitor oil, water, and energy usage
  • Manage and maintain support



The minimum requirements we seek:
 
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 or more years technical work experience
  • 1 or more years of Microsoft Office knowledge to include (Word/Excel/Outlook)

Our preferred requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • 3 or more years automotive experience
  • Body shop/stamping/paint/subassembly experience
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Knowledge of constraint management principles
  • Safety and Quality experience
  • Prior experience managing a unionized work force
  • Demonstrated leadership behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills
